about

Social anxiety calls for religion, and globalization accelerates that anxiety. The fewer things logical reason can do, the more religion will serve as a guide for decision-making. In Japan before the dynasty, rainmaking was performed as a national ceremony. Before the introduction of Buddhism, it was believed that the emperor, the governor, had the ability to deliver the voice of national defense to Gods.
Japanese people dance to gods to seek rain at the summits, throw dead horse bones and dirt into the water to offend them. Alternatively, in China, people wish rain to dragons, and in Sudan and South Africa, there are examples of such great authority as shamans.
Rainmaking is a magical/religious ritual to make it rain when drought continues. This ritual can be found all over the world. Many cultures in the world had the idea that “rain is a gift from God and it is God's punishment that ceases”. Although the method is different, rainmaking rituals around the world are performed with the purpose of attracting God's attention, pleasing and

buying compassion. In addition, it has long been said that places with a lot of water and places with high humidity are easily connected to the spirit world.
There is an anecdote that if you cross the Styx, you will go to the spirit world. In this way, water has played the role of an interface connecting people and the sky since ancient times.
